"There was a time when I wasn't this sensitive", Khoren says, as tears welled up his eyes. "It was very hard. I couldn't go with them." For 6 years, the Hovhanesyans had been an ordinary family in Flanders. Alexia, now 3 years old, was born during that time. Their whole life was here: their children went to school, they worked, they played sports... They had a lot of belongings. Khoren spent the final month of his six years in Belgium selling their furniture and dealing with practical matters.
